Custom & Specialty Painting

The details that make a house look designed, not just painted.

The Work

What is actually included

This is where a paint job stops being maintenance and starts being design. A limewashed fireplace, a black-lacquered front door, a two-tone stair rail, a color-drenched study where the trim and ceiling match the walls. These are small square footages with enormous visual return.

  • Accent walls, color drenching and color blocking
  • Limewash and mineral finishes on brick and fireplaces
  • High-gloss and lacquer front doors, sprayed off-site if needed
  • Stair rails, spindles and newel posts
  • Interior brick, paneling and beam painting
  • Garage floor and concrete epoxy coatings
  • Wallpaper removal and the wall repair that always follows it

Process

How your custom project runs

1. Free Walkthrough

We walk every room or every side of the house with you, measure, and talk through colors, sheens and problem areas. Usually 30–45 minutes.

2. Written Flat-Rate Quote

You get an itemized price in writing — surfaces, coats, brand and product line, and a start date. Not an hourly guess.

3. Prep Day

Furniture wrapped, floors covered, holes patched, caulk run, primer where it's needed. This is the day that decides how the job looks in five years.

4. Paint & Walkthrough

Two full coats, then we walk it together with a bright light before we pack up. Anything you flag gets fixed that day.

FAQ

Custom & Specialty Painting questions

Can you match a color from a photo or a fabric?

Yes. We can get a spectrophotometer match at the paint store from almost any physical sample, and get very close from a photo.

Do you do murals or hand lettering?

We handle geometric and color-block work in house and bring in a muralist for illustration work.

What's 'color drenching'?

Walls, trim, doors and ceiling in one color. It sounds strange and looks incredible, especially in small dark rooms.
